The Blue Outfit

For the Blue Outfit I wanted to do a halter top design.  I wanted to make something different. The entire outfit was made in stages instead of all at once.  Because of the separate processes, the design changed as more pieces were added on.    I wanted a skirt that would fit the overall look.  Eventually, I came up with a Roman style skirt with a 6 in 1 belt.  The pauldrons finish the outfit.

Blue Outfit Mark 2

I have made improvements and changes from the first blue outfit. I wanted to make the second blue outfit in reverse, along with making the skirt plates even length instead of a v shaped skirt. I have found a way to make a two toned 1/2 Persian that is in opposite directions, allowing me to add another layer of complexity to the outfit.

The Red Outfit

This outfit was inspired by the triangle shape.  I wanted to incorporate repeating triangle and v shapes throughout the entire outfit. The weave I picked is Half Persian because it lays flat and it looks good as a two tone design. The belt is GSG because the Half Persian was too thin of a weave to show well.

This Red Outfit took me two weeks to make and took thousands of small scales and hundreds of large scales.

Silver Top with Belt

This was the first chainmail outfit design I made using scale mail.   While I was doing art festivals, people kept joking that I should make a bikini.  It was going to take time to make one  so I wanted it to be a show piece in my booth. I wanted to also show off my talent as an artist.  I added spiral chains, a scale mail necklace, and circle details to the outfit.  In the end, this outfit became more than just a standard Bikini top.  It remains one of the most popular of my designs.

Single Shoulder Top with skirt

The single shoulder outfit was specifically made for a fashion show.  For the show, I wanted to do something to highlight the beauty of the scale mail material and  have a modern look.

Fluted Tasset and Pauldron with a 6 in 1 belt or leather belt

I enjoy and am well known for making chainmail.   I have a degree in metalsmithing and am familiar with many sheet metal techniques.  I wanted to make  these accessories that showcase some of my plate work.
